"And what will our (Corpus Christians) reward be?" "And what do you think we've got right now?"
Or is it
Anti-Wisdom vs Wisdom
One day a fisherman was lying on a beautiful beach, with his fishing pole propped up in the sand and his solitary line cast out into the sparkling blue surf. He was enjoying the warmth of the afternoon sun and the prospect of catching a fish. About that time, a businessman came walking down the beach, trying to relieve some of the stress of his workday. He noticed the fisherman sitting on the beach and decided to find out why this fisherman was fishing instead of working harder to make a living for himself and his family. "You aren't going to catch many fish that way," said the businessman to the fisherman, "you should be working rather than lying on the beach!"
The fisherman looked up at the businessman, smiled and replied, "And what will my reward be?"
"Well, you can get bigger nets and catch more fish!" was the businessman's answer.
"And then what will my reward be?" asked the fisherman, still smiling.
The businessman replied, "You will make money and you'll be able to buy a boat, which will then result in larger catches of fish!"
"And then what will my reward be?" asked the fisherman again.
The businessman was beginning to get a little irritated with the fisherman's questions. "You can buy a bigger boat, and hire some people to work for you!" he said.
"And then what will my reward be?" repeated the fisherman.
The businessman was getting angry. "Don't you understand? You can build up a fleet of fishing boats, sail all over the world, and let all your employees catch fish for you!"
Once again the fisherman asked, "And then what will my reward be?"
The businessman was red with rage and shouted at the fisherman, "Don't you understand that you can become so rich that you will never have to work for your living again! You can spend all the rest of your days sitting on this beach, looking at the sunset. You won't have a care in the world!"
The fisherman, still smiling, looked up and said, "And what do you think I'm doing right now?"
Who Pays the rent for the CCREDC & The Corpus Christi Caller Times?
WE PAY THE RENT!! The People of Corpus Christi Afford only the best for CCREDC and their Private Public Strategies. A couple of years ago they said there was no such thing as Public Money to develop Private Companies and the various shell games of Re-development, Re-insurance, and the 3 letter words / symbols like (OSI), (OEA), (TWC) and (WIA). The we get the ensure, the Malfunctioning (AED's), and the YANQUIS shoving their brand of economic development and re-development down our throats whether we like it or not.
CCCT:(OEA) Office of Economic Adjustment, there it is again with the Modification of JOB Opportunities.
"The deplorable turnout of 11.8 percent offers no mandate for the anti-growth faction (they wouldn't call themselves that), though they will surely claim several of the winning candidates as their own."
1) Purge the 16 or more Attorneys and Fire Skip Noe.
2) Joe Obrien has very valid points that have been repeatedly ignored by the City and County. (The City of Corpus Christi is habitually tardy filing their reports and the Crime Control District is being misused).
3) Corpus Christi PD needs a certified ballistics lab. (We will let Skip Noe and the Incumbent explain that one).
Who will make a contract with their constituents no excuses & NO OVERRUNS & No Cert$ of obligation
The author labors under a heavy burden as he / she droningly attempts to reject change.
Why does the CCCT reject change?
Because they didnt get their way?
Because the CCCT rewards itself at our expense and the CCREDC rent is very expensive "And, where is the reward for Corpus Christi ?"
Taking our Beach and developing it would do nothing for the average citizen. The Caller and the Aristocratic Hypocracy gets their backs scratched, massaged and the odoriferous stench of avarice becomes their weakness.
We claim no victory in this City Council Election.
We had no dog in this fight.
Our priorities have been met and in those endeavors absolutely, we claim victory.
We stand United and congratulate each other on a JOB well done.
As for Mr Big Stuff, keep on pushing that button and disprove yourself. You made the challenge. I accept.
Are You Sure You Wanna Go?

Why we need Angelica Hernandez to run for Nueces County Constitutional Judge? INTEGRITY and TRUST
Angelica Hernandez
Age: 32
Occupation: Lawyer
Q: What is the biggest issue facing the judicial system in Nueces County?
A: In the 94th, the most significant issue is the number of unresolved cases that are pending. The number of cases that sit on the docket and the length of time that they sit unresolved costs not only the parties to the lawsuit, but in the end it costs the taxpayers. When you look at that, the bottom line is justice delayed is justice denied. People need their day in court faster.
Q: What role will your conscience play in your rulings?
A: Ethics have to be at the forefront of any courtroom. We are held to a standard not only by laws and statutes, but a lot of people don't know that we have a lawyer's creed that has been adopted by the Supreme Court. In my opinion, ethics and conscience are the same thing and they must not only be present in the courtroom, but a judge should enforce them of the parties and themselves.
Q: Why are you or why will you be a good judge?
A: Approximately 70 percent of the cases that
sit on the docket are civil in nature. I possess extensive civil litigation experience and I do have trial experience. I will be open and receptive to facts and issues and will be guided and not afraid to follow the law.
